Also known as Mt. Pleasant Old City Cemetery. The town was founded and named in 1835 by pioneer Presley Saunders. The large white circle near the south end of the cemetery contains many of the Saunders family graves. Unfortunately, many of the older gravestones have faded and worn so they are unreadable. The "Saunders circle" and all graves south of it were photographed on August 19,2014 (up to the row starting with Helen Brooks, which is east of the circle).
