Saint Vincent de Paul Cemetery #1

Saint Vincent DePaul Cemetery #1 is between Loyola Ave on it's North side and S. Saratoga St. on it's South side. Saint Vincent DePaul Cemetery #2 is between Loyola Ave on it's South side and S. Liberty St. on it's North side. Both Cemeteries have Soniat St on there East side. Only Cemetery #2 has Dufossat St on it's West side. Cemetery #1 has Isidore Newman School on it's West side. The St. Vincent de Paul Cemeteries were established in 1859 on Soniat Street by the Congregation of the Mission, whose priests and sisters have served St. Stephen’s Parish of New Orleans since its founding in 1849. The Congregation of the Mission is an order of the Vincentian Family, commonly referred to as the Lazarists, whose patron saint is St. Vincent de Paul.
