Abm P Freer, one of the most industrious and honest of the old residents of this village, was drowned in the brook at Centerville, on Saturday. He had been much out of health for several months and had been living with his son-in-law, John Bragg. His hat and cane were lying on the bank and he was found in water about three feet deep. Mr. Freer's age was 70 years and 7 months. He was the father of Cyrus D. Freer, Mrs. Stephen Yaple and Mrs. John Bragg. From the New Paltz Independent August 22, 1890
