Description

C Edward Crans, 82, of New Paltz died May 14, 2007 at home. He was a graduate of the New Paltz School system and worked at the New Paltz Post Office for 5 years. He then began working at New Paltz Savings Bank in July 1950 where he was promoted to branch manager of the Woodstock Branch, retiring after 37 years. He worked part time for his sister, Alice at Dubois Fort in New Paltz as well as Pine Funeral Home in New Paltz. A member of New Paltz Reformed Church, Masonic Lodge 718 of Highland. Born Dec 29, 1924 in New Paltz, son of Herman & Mary Jane Millspaugh Crans. Survivors include a sister, Helen Jordan of Oxford, Pa.; nieces and nephews. Four brothers, Raymond, Albert, Earl and Kenneth Crans; three sisters, Georgia, Alice Crans & Mae Cheatham, all died previously. Burial in New Paltz Rural Cemetery. From Kingston Freeman May 15, 2007.
