"A Farmer's View"

Tis not all of farming to plow, nor all the task to hoe, for the problems confronting us now, were unknown a generation ago.

Some people speak of the simple life, of the ease & freedom from care. Of the absence of worry & business strife & the burdens that others bear.

But the farmer's life is one of toil, if he be a farmer true, With a living to make, direct from the soil & a thousand odd things to do.

From early morn until late at night, he must be on the go, Although the sun be hot & bright, or though it should rain or snow.

So friend whatever your lot may be, if trouble be your guest. Don't think farm life from care is free, but do you very best.

For the joys of life come not by chance, to those who till the soil, So don't discount the circumstance, for a farmer's life's worthwhile.
