After we lived here for some time our boy Alvin took heart trouble. He couldn’t go to school. The doctor told us to send him back to the farm in Onyx,. George, our son stayed on the ranch and ran the farm, we went down on the week-ends. One weekend we went hunting with Uncle Andrew Cutler, we had been gone for some time. We took the twins with us I and Aunt Maggie, were at the car. I told Aunt Maggie that something had happened. We went up where the men were. The boys were all right. I told my husband we would have to go home that something had happened at home. I just couldn't wait to get started. We got half way home, when Melven and the Cornwall boy met us and told us that Alvin had died, They got the doctor and worked with him. He said he was dead when he fell. He was a good boy. Secretary of the Deacons in the sixth ward, until he got so bad. That was another hard blow to us.
