Edmund Burke died on Tuesday night at his home in Springtown, after an illness of several weeks, aged 65 years. He was an honest, worthy and industrious man, esteemed by all his acquaintances. From New Paltz Independent October 21, 1904
Mrs. Edmund Burke died at her home in Springtown on Wednesday of typhoid pneumonia. The funeral will be held on Friday at 2 pm Mrs Burke was a very industrious woman and leaves a very large family of children. She had recently lost two children. From New Paltz Independent November 20, 1896
