Description

Emilie first wife of Johann Grapper

Mother of Anna, Wilhelm, August, Herman, Bertha and John Jr. Grapper

Emilie and Johann Grapper emigrated with their 5 young children from the

Bremen port in Germany to Baltimore, Maryland, arriving 15 April 1883.

They farmed in Cedar Lake Township and there built a log home and barn.

Emilie passed away on 27 Aug 1885 of blood poisioning after being gorged by

a cow's horns.

The child Bertha must have passed away sometime before 1900 as well since

no further records can be found on her.

Johann remarried and is buried with his second wife.
