DAVENPORT -- Fern H. Winckler, of Davenport, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at Manor Care Health Services, Davenport. Celebration of Life services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, March 11, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.

Ms. Winckler was born May 7, 1929, in Davenport, to Floyd W. and Carmen (Carter) Winckler. She was a drum majorette for Davenport High School in 1942. She worked in the office for St. Ambrose University, Davenport, for 16 years, retiring in 1992. She enjoyed the outdoors, picnics and family get-togethers.

She is survived by a sister, Dorothy Adams, of Davenport; brother, Harold (Ida) Winckler, of Park View, Iowa; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carmen, in 1973, her father, Floyd, in 1986, and a brother-in-law, Robert.
