Frank Hays Natcher Jr.

Sgt. US Army Korea. He was a quiet man who always had a smile, he always stood for what was right and good. And, for this, we shall forever cherish his memory. Loving Husband, son, father and grandfather. Frank H. Natcher Jr., 79, of Bowling Green, died at 4:18 p.m. Jan. 3, 2011, at The Medical Center.

The Bowling Green native was born Oct. 11, 1931. He was a 1949 graduate of Bowling Green High School and an Army veteran, serving in the Korean conflict and holding the rank of staff sergeant. He was the service manager and master mechanic with Leachman Motors for 38 years and was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. Mr. Natcher and brother, William Hayden Natcher, who preceded him in death, were the first set of male twins to be born in the Bowling Green-Warren County Hospital. He was a son of the late Frank H. Natcher Sr. and Nellie Blanche Hayden Natcher. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joe Byron Natcher; a son, James Frank Natcher; a daughter, Julie Renee Natcher Meeks; and a grandson, James Frank Natcher Jr.

Funeral is at 2 p.m. Friday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sharon S. Shaughnessy Natcher of Bowling Green; a brother, John Edward Natcher of Atlanta; three grandchildren, Wiliam E. Natcher, Sarah Renee Natcher and Shannon Kay Natcher, all of Bowling Green; a great-grandchild, Jimmy Anderson of Bowling Green; sisters-in-law, Betty Natcher and Clara Jean Natcher, both of Bowling Green; and several nieces and nephews.
