Gusztav M. Kovacs (1895-1969)
Hungarian film maker
One of the founders of the Film Industry in Hungary. After WW2 the Soviet occupation robbed him of his modern filmprocessing laboratory. Migrating to Australia in 1950 he filmed the boat voyage on the ship Anna Salen to Fremantle WA on 35mm black and white film. Thus he produced the only existing documentary boat voyage filmed by a migrant of post WW2. It is now stored at the National Film Archives in Canberra ACT.
