MABEL Grace George, 74, of Gardiner, died at Lankenaw Hosp, Philadelphia, Pa, on Monday following a brief illness. She had lived in Gardiner most of her life. Prior to that she resided in Brewster. Mrs George was a member of Ladies Aid of Gardiner Reformed Church & Sullivan-Schaffer Post, American Legion Auxilliary. A native of Brewster, she was born July 3, 1896 daughter of Charles & Carrie(Rogers) Hall. She married James George, who died April 1964. He was postmaster at Gardiner. Surviving are 2 sons, Charles of Rosendale & William George of New Paltz, 4 daughters, Catherine Tallman of Collegeville, Pa, Dorothy Miller of Poughkeepsie, Evelyn Cashara of Tillson & Eleanor Hobart of High Falls, sister, Florence Thackaberry of Oregon, also 14 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren.
