Mother
A big Sister, a nurse when you need one,
Someone to hold you, a shoulder to cry on,
Someone to pray with, someone to share with,
But most of all, a best friend.
She had no sister, she had no brother,
A loner she was; but through her years she
collected some little things that were her life:
Like two children, eight grandchildren and her
biggest of all, seven great grandchildren.
We all have occupations of a different kind,
These were her occupations,
She gave of herself to everyone,
Not taking at all,
We would say Mom's biggest occupation was loving
That's what she knew how to do best of all!
