OBITUARY SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 28, 1941: Pg 8, Part 1, Sunday Times Advertiser, Trenton, Mercer Co., NJ. Maurice R. Girton, NEWTOWN, SEPT. 27 - Funeral services for Maurice R. Girton were held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Rempfer, of Newtown, Thursday, with the Rev. Chester Buzzard, pastor of the Methodist Church, in charge. Interment was in Newtown Cemetery, under direction of Stacy B. Brown, with the following acting as bearers: William Ellis, Clarence Girton, Garrett Girton, Robert Yates, George Worrell and George Shorts. Survivors of the deceased are his widow, Lydia Girton; a daughter, Mrs. John Rempfer, of Newtown; two sons, Clarence Girton, of Paulsboro, N.J. and Garrett Girton, of Trenton, and nine grandchildren. Also three sisters, Mrs. Ida Shorts, of Penns Park; Mrs. Caroline Worrell, of Yardley, and Mrs. Clara Maston, of Lambertville, and a brother, Albert E. Girton, of Newtown.
