Mary C Barnes (Deyo)

Description

Mary Deyo Barnes, 82, formerly of New Paltz, recently of Hyde Park, died Aug 16, 1967 at Northern Dutchess Hosp, after a long illness. The daughter of Nathaniel & Rachel Deyo, she was born in New Paltz on July 21, 1884. Mrs Barnes was a descendant of the original patentee Deyo family which helped found New Paltz. She was the widow of the late Judge Irving C Barnes. Mrs Barnes was a member of New Paltz Reformed Church, the Ladies Aid of the Churchland the Huguenot Historical Society. She is survived by 3 stepsons, Edward Barnes, North Chatham, Mass, Gilbert Barnes, Manchester, Conn, and Willard Barnes, Hyde Park, NY. From the New Paltz Independent and Times August 16, 1967
