FAIROAKS-JAMES V. GOERING was born in Pierceton, Ind. , on April 9, 1917. He entered into rest in the comfort of his own home after a lengthy illness on November 14, 2005. He was 88 years of age. Prior to moving to Fair Oaks 28 years ago, Jim and his wife lived in the Concord, CA area for many years. He had lived in Ft. Wayne, In. for about 25 years as plant manager for International Harvester. He enjoyed 58 years with the International Harvester Co. Jim was a kind and gentle man who is best remembered for his good humor and quick wit.
He was preceded in death by his only child, a son, Perry.
His wife, Eva Mae "Daisy" (Bashore) survives. Added by nephew, Roger L Price

Eva Mae 'Daisy' Goering
93, of Fair Oaks passed into eternal peace on Friday, August 9, at 9:51 p.m., at Sunrise Senior Living in Carmichael. She was born in Indiana on March 27, 1920 to Rev. J.L.Bashore and his wife Bessie. Daisy had siblings, Mildred " Billie" , Vera, Ruby, Marjorie, and Maurice, all of whom preceded her in death. Survivors include nieces Diane Eshelman and Susie Dilley, to whom she left her money, nephews John Price, Roger Price, Randy Price and Lenny Young residents of Indiana, niece Patricia Jean (Price) Parson, Wabash, Indiana, along with many great nieces and nephews.
Daisy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved playing tennis, bowling and was an avid Kings fan. Gardening was also a passion. Even in her nineties, she spent hours planting flowers in her yard and tending to her many houseplants. People passing by stopped to chat with this amazing person watering her plants, hose in one hand and a cane in the other.
Graveside services will be held Mon., Aug. 1.
Perry, son of James Vernon and Eva Mae "Daisy" Goering. Attended school and grew up in Ft. Wayne,IN. His father was the plant manager of International Harvester plant in Ft. Wayne that was closed. Because of that, the family moved to Concord, Cal. They later moved to FAiroaks,Cal.
Perry was found deceased in his kitchen from unknown causes. He was never married, no children.
