Robert Eltinge, an old citizen familiarly called "black Bobie" died at his home in the town of Lloyd on Sunday night last aged about 72 years. He was well known in New Paltz, and years ago worked for the father of Hon. Jacob LeFever, remaining there for nearly twenty years. He was born a slave and was taken care of in his baby-hood or until he had grown up to be quite a boy by Rebecca Elting, sister of Mathusalem Elting.
