ROSE Lee DuBois, wife of Philip H DuBois of New Paltz, died in Vassar Hospital, Po'kpsie, Dec 5, 1927, after a long illness. Born in Westtown, NY, April 2, 1874, only child of Martin E Lee & Alice Seymour Lee. She married Mr DuBois Oct 12, 1898. For many years their beautiful home at Elmwood Farm was noted for its generous hospitality. In recent years ill health made a mild climate necessary, Mrs DuBois lived for a number of winters in Florida, but one was spent in California and one cruising the Mediterranean. Mrs DuBois was a member of New Paltz Reformed Church, past president of Ladies Aid and was for years secretary of Women's Missionary Society. She was a trustee of New Paltz Library Assoc and a member of the executive committee of the Study Club. She was a member of the Mahwenawasigh Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the NSV Club. Her father died in Westtown about six months ago since then her mother has made New Paltz her home. Mrs DuBois is also survived by her husband and three sons, Martin Lee, Philip E and Louis. The funeral service were held at Elmwood Farm on Dec 8. Presumed: New Paltz Independent & Times December 8, 1927
