He and wife, Elizabeth, lived for many years at the hotel that his father owned in Cornwall and at the top of the census, says West Point. On the 1860 Census, Theodore and his father are both listed as the owners of the hotel. There is a street near West Point named Cozzens. After the death of his father in 1864 and his mother in 1868, Theodore continued running the hotel. He married Elizabeth Kirtland April 17, 1846 at Cornwall, Orange County, NY. His parents were William Brown Cozzens & Jane Davidson.
