OBIT:

Died at New Paltz, Saturday June 13th, Wm. Daugherty, Co D., 80th NY Vet. Vols. aged about 69 years. He had been a resident of Shandaken, of late, but enlisted from Kingston Sept. 23, 1864, and was honorably discharged June 17, 1865. He was buried on Saturday afternoon in the soldiers' plat in the New Paltz cemetery, Eltinge Post taking charge of the funeral. New Paltz Independent June 19, 1903
