Tarbert burial ground is a well-maintained old graveyard in the centre of the town. Some stones date back to the late 18th and early 19th century. The cemetery is now full and all available plots are used. The oldest part of the cemetery is the rectangular section in the north-east corner, where there is a raised hill area. There are two points of access, one in the east at the rear of the buildings on School Road, and one in the west at the south end of Back Road (by the playing fields).
